Durante d\u00e9cadas, la animaci\u00f3n y el cine han servido como ventanas hacia futuros posibles. Lo que en su momento parec\u00eda una exageraci\u00f3n futurista, hoy es parte de nuestra vida cotidiana. Relojes inteligentes, videollamadas, robots asistentes y realidad virtual son solo algunas de las tecnolog\u00edas que nacieron en la imaginaci\u00f3n de guionistas, dibujantes y cineastas del siglo XX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En este art\u00edculo repasamos 20 caricaturas, c\u00f3mics y pel\u00edculas \u2014tanto animadas como de acci\u00f3n real\u2014 que predijeron tecnolog\u00edas que hoy usamos a diario<\/strong>. Algunas fueron visiones optimistas del futuro; otras, advertencias dist\u00f3picas. Lo fascinante es que muchas de esas ideas se han hecho realidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desde los Jetsons<\/em> hasta Blade Runner<\/em>, pasando por Dick Tracy<\/em> or Star Trek<\/em>, las obras de ficci\u00f3n han proyectado avances tecnol\u00f3gicos d\u00e9cadas antes de que existieran. \u00bfInspiraci\u00f3n directa? \u00bfCoincidencia? \u00bfO simplemente una muestra de c\u00f3mo la creatividad puede anticipar la innovaci\u00f3n?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lo cierto es que muchas ideas tecnol\u00f3gicas nacieron en la ciencia ficci\u00f3n y la cultura pop antes de convertirse en prototipos reales y, m\u00e1s tarde, en productos de consumo masivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un dato interesante es que en el juicio que Apple le sigui\u00f3 a Samsung, aduciendo que la tableta de Samsung hab\u00eda sido inspirada en el iPad, el acusado aleg\u00f3 que Apple no hab\u00eda inventado nada nuevo, pues un dispositivo MUY similar hab\u00eda aparecido en la pel\u00edcula “2001: Odisea del espacio<\/strong>” (De 1968). [Referencia aqu\u00ed<\/a>]. En la pel\u00edcula, dos astronautas usan un dispositivo bastante similar al iPad de hoy, mientras comen. Samsung termin\u00f3 perdiendo el juicio, pero la an\u00e9cdota quedar\u00e1 por siempre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es llamativo pensar que el futuro muchas veces es imaginable, hasta que la tecnolog\u00eda est\u00e1 lista para que alguien lo haga realidad. Hay una frase que tiene algo que ver y me encanta, dice “La mejor forma de predecir el futuro es crearlo.” – Peter Drucker<\/p>\n\n\n\n
