The MazinMaster Test: The test that will let you know if you are a Mazinger Z guru

In days gone by the Great Council of Masters of the Animated Series of the Eighties sneakily got together to plan a tribute to the 41-year-old Mazinger Z television series; event that occurs on December 3, 2013.

Masters Chento, CarryOn, Polestar and Fabruco met to address the core theme of the meeting: Design an insurmountable test to determine if a common mortal knows enough of that iconic animated series to hold the title of MazinMaster.

For those who do not know about Mazinger Z (ohh little winter pubescent) it should be remembered that this television series, ahead of its time, would start a whole era full of robots manned by humans, which ended up being called the Mecha genre. Genre that somehow reaches our days with the movie Pacific Rim: Hollywood hit movie released this year 2013.

Thus, with a defined theme, the meeting began.

Only as a formal act, we proceeded to sing Mazingerian songs (in perfect Japanese of course) and to draw the exact plan of Mazinger Z's right foot (rituals of rigor).

One of the topics that aroused the most interest was the entire mythology developed as the basis for the plot of the series. Some of the test questions include this topic.

The test has a total of 20 points and 3 possible titles were designed depending on the score obtained.

• 0 to 8 points: Little
• 9 to 14 points: Rookie
• 15 to 20 points: MazinMaster
