Beyond curiosity

Neomano.com is a blog I started almost 15 years ago. Essentially, to share the ideas I had in my head and, above all, the curiosity behind most of what I write and do.

But curiosity is useless if it doesn't lead to the search for truth. On this blog that curiosity goes hand in hand with research: texts hunted down in old books, devices taken apart, interviews — as well as reflections and flash fiction.

Neomano has been a refreshing escape for me and I hope it is one for the reader too. After more than 30 years working in technology and as a history enthusiast, I have a few things to tell, and now and then I write them down.

About me

Edgar Landívar

My name is Edgar Landívar and I work primarily in technology. In 1998 I founded a company called PaloSanto Solutions, which was a pioneer of free software in Ecuador — probably the company with the longest track record in that field in the country.

A few years ago I stepped down from running the company and started designing hardware. That's what I do at Yubox.com.

I've written a few books; I enjoy nature, volunteering, railroads, history and audio gear. I read a lot and I'm somewhat active on X. The rest I'll confess as we go. Thanks for visiting.
